How can I self-refer or help someone book an appointment? Call us or use the 'Initial contact' form on our website. We’ll chat with you to understand your needs and book your first face to face session at a convenient time.
For GPs and other healthcare professionals: How do I refer someone to your service? With the client’s permission, complete the Initial Contact Form on our website. Once submitted, we’ll handle the rest.
Which areas do you serve? We serve Brisbane and nearby suburbs. Contact us to confirm if we can visit your location.
What should I expect during my first session? During your first session, we’ll work together to assess your condition and understand your goals. We’ll create a personalised treatment plan in partnership with you to suit your needs and priorities.
What do I need for the first appointment? Wear comfortable clothes you can move in, like activewear or loose-fitting pants. We’ll bring everything else
How long does the first appointment take? It usually takes about an hour for the assessment and treatment plan. Follow-up sessions last up to 50 minutes.
How does home physiotherapy work? We bring the equipment and treat you in your home, making therapy convenient and comfortable.
Can you help with NDIS plans? Yes, we work with NDIS participants to create therapy plans that suit your goals and needs. We work with those who are self managed or those who have a plan manager.
Will Medicare or private health insurance cover the costs? Medicare rebates may apply if your GP refers you under a Chronic Disease Management Plan (previously known as 'Enhanced Primary Care Plans). If you have private health insurance, check if it covers physiotherapy. We’ll give you a receipt for claiming.
Do I need a referral to start physiotherapy? No referral is needed for private physiotherapy. However, if you want a Medicare rebate, you’ll need a Chronic Disease Management Plan from your GP.
How long will my treatment take? The length of your treatment will depend on your progress and goals. We’ll regularly review your plan with you to make sure it continues to meet your needs and preferences.
What is Sunrise Rehab? Sunrise Rehab offers physiotherapy care in the comfort of your home. We help adults improve strength, mobility, and independence with treatments tailored to your needs.
Can you help with post-surgery recovery? Yes, we help clients recover strength and mobility after surgery, like joint replacements or other procedures. We’ll tailor the therapy to your needs.
What is your cancellation policy? Notice must be given 2 business days prior to the scheduled appointment to avoid the cancellation fee. Cancellations inside of this time frame will incur 100% of the full consultation fee. If you are not home (no-show): If the physiotherapist arrives and you are not at the scheduled location without letting us know, the full session fee including travel, will be charged.
What safety measures do you take during home visits? We follow strict hygiene and safety practices to ensure your health and well-being.
Can family members or carers be involved? Absolutely! We encourage family or carers to join sessions to better understand your therapy and provide support.
